Privileges

Alumni are welcome to use any ECPI University library.

Alumni have borrowing privileges.

The Interlibrary loan service is also made available to alumni with confirmation of a current address.

Faculty Services

Faculty Information

All University employees are welcome to use the Library. Faculty are provided with a Library Catalog account login. Employees may access online library resources from on and off campus.

Please reach out using Ask a Librarian if you have not had library resource training.

 

Borrowing Materials

Books are checked out to ECPI University faculty for 70 days. Additional information is available on the Borrowing Policies page.

 

Ebooks & Multimedia

The Library’s Ebook and Multimedia collections are accessed through the Library Catalog or from the Library’s Ebook and Multimedia Collections databases. 

 

Ordering Materials for the Library

All faculty are encouraged to recommend materials to be added to the library's collection. Faculty should submit their recommended titles to the program director for review before forwarding to the campus librarian. Staff are also welcome to make suggestions for purchasing library materials. 

 

New Student Library Orientation & Assessment

A librarian presents the new student library orientation. Freshmen participate in an orientation course in their first semester. A library assessment (graded quiz) is a required part of the curriculum.

Several video tutorials are available from the Online Library to introduce the Interlibrary Loan service, the online library website, and library catalog searching. 

 

Class Instruction & Research Guides 

Advanced library instruction tailored for specific courses or assignments can be arranged with a librarian. 

Additionally, requests for subject and course research guides, aka 'LibGuides,' can be made by sending a request to Ask a Librarian.
