Why should you get this certification?
NICET Level II is for Fire Alarm Technicians with at least 2 years (24 months) of documentable work experience in the installation and termination of fire alarm devices, cabinets, and panels.
This certification is designed for engineering technicians and persons working in the fire alarm industry with at least 12 months of fire alarm systems experience who engage in a combination of fire alarm system activities, including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems (either agent or water-based systems) in any of the following roles/functions:
It is anticipated that most Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) who have accepted this Certification as evidence of qualification to perform maintenance/periodic inspections of fire alarm systems will continue to do so. Certification can and does help with career advancement.
